Housing woes, clinic woes, job-hunting woes... WOAH!!!!!

What a crappy week! Actually the last two weeks have been the crappiest ever... in terms of very anxiety driven and endless wormhole that leads to a black hole's heart. Get the picture?

HOUSING WOES

So, the landlord filed court eviction. We got the letter. Nice touch for our future background checks...

In the meanwhile, we got a print out that the people of the TRA (temp rent assistance) had mailed the rent payment. Happy happy joy joy...

In the meanwhile we get a call from the NCC place where we hoped to get a low-income home, and got a positive answer after 3 weeks of waiting. We will have a smaller apartment, but at least it will be certain roof that we can manage to pay as it is 30% of our total income. Yay for that! Deposit and first rent payment were done today, and tomorrow are the final signatures and getting the key. So, one part of the housing nightmare starts to see the light...

We notify the landlord about the current month's payment evidence, and that we finally got the NCC to help us with housing as the TRA ended and we couldn't do anything else to stay and keep paying... We get his simple reply that he requires a 30 day notification for us moving out...

So we ask about the deposit, if he will give it all or part or none, and if not to simply give us a letter so we take it to the TRA/Emergency Assistance so they help paying for the move... No response... just whinning about the neighbors that had not paid for the last 2 months and they were dealing with court issues... No answer about the deposit or the letter (we don't care for the deposit, we know we wont get it as now it will have to cover the next 30 days he came up with, even with the eviction notice that we barely paid... We just need the letter so we can end this housing nightmare!!!!)

Y la aldea sigue ahi... At least the small apartment is secure and we hope to move by the end of next week, if God allows!

CLINIC WOES
On which the patient has the doctor from hell blowing her off as if she were just scum, after she asked the doctor why she would say she had preclampsia in her first pregnancy when she didn't! The doctor's disrespect and disdain and lack of professionalism shows in every way, and the patient really REALLY hates her!

Problem: Yes, there are 3 more doctors in the clinic... but they do not specilize in high-risk pregnancies... Profiles were checked and so it seems that the patient will have to suck it up, smile and deal with it as she cannot change doctor as she expected... And at this point, changing hospital when it is just 5 more weeks is very VERY insane and uphill especially since she is, simply put, poor. Yup, poor means no choices. And the fun never stops.

JOB-HUNTING WOES
In order to get this current month payment we had to actively kill ourselves looking for jobs, getting the lovely notices of rejection. We had to send out a weekly report to the TRA people, showing our activities for job and house hunting... Very draining, very unnerving as there was no certainty of any payment at all as the TRA program had finished its time frame for us.

Job hunt goes on, hopefully now a bit more low impact... right now is the WORST moment for getting a job. I have a C-section in 5 weeks, and hubby has been running from government office to office to get things done... plus the nursing woes added on to the whole burden...

NURSING WOES
Our 2nd shift nurse is always great, we love her dearly, we understand her situation, she is as screwed as us because she is good and she means it by being selfless and taking care of everything and everyone around her... We get it. We understand. We are in the PENDEJOS club. But we need the service... She was sick for 2 weeks, had an operation, and her hubby had a heart attack. Obviously she couldn't really work. So we ask for a spare nurse... OH GOD!!!!

The LOOPY ANTI RELIGION YET BIBLE FREAK NAVY NURSE. This is just because we cannot have normal people around us. We refuse to be normal in any way... We asked for a male nurse, to see if there could actually be a difference in services... We get this guy that granted, is an EXCELLENT nurse... but has loose nails in his personality and is very VERY in your face as he is against religion but lives by the Bible... Your common " old testament has all the answers" freak that believes women should be in the house, men should be working, and the end is coming soon. Very charismatic/narcissistic/looney tune leader that is a living contradiction and believes that there is no good at all on Earth and that God will save us all if we accept him, period... no effort necessary... Needless to say, the guy is quite a character... and since he do his job well, we have put up with him... for now. But the personality is just too much, and we know that the way he is makes him a temporary patch until something better (or at least quieter) comes along...

So the 2nd shift has been HELL for the last 2 weeks... now add to that the newest ailment which is that the 1st shift is getting the being late almost every day syndrome, tied up with the forgetting to call if you are not coming syndrome. This virus may have validity, as we know shit happens, but the ease and conformity and carefree attitude that it drags is becoming quite unnerving, especially when the 1st shift is actually the demanding one for Deedee's care. Right now I cannot be alone in the house with Deedee, simply because if I have an emergency due to my 34 weeks pregnant, who will stay with Deedee? She needs someone with her all the time! It is not a choice, but a fact. And this careless stupid behavior that seems simple and not eventful may actually end up as something really bad because of the whole situation. The 2nd shift may fail, as my hubby is there so Deedee is never alone just with me... But during the day my hubby must be out hunting for solutions that are critical for our survival! And then I am at home, alone with Deedee, at the mercy of what ifs...

UGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!

EPILOGUE
So... Thanks to the dominican guys in the corner, hubby found a place where they sell Agua de Azahar, and in the last two days I've been trying to let it calm what cannot be calmed... At least it works for an hour...

Hopefully we will move next week, and that big stress will fade away leaving us with the stress of the baby that is coming, the cord blood banking, the C-section, the stupid reports that doesn't assess Deedee's intelligence or cognitive knowledge at all, the communication device, the power chair, my filing bankruptcy and how to handle the two hit combo of Kali and Deedee... Plus my online classes.

I'm gonna need gallons of Agua de Azahar...

Either that or a generous donation from a rich relative from far away... due~no de una mansion y de un yate...

10-4
